How to open a ZIP file on your computer.

A ZIP file is like a ‘packed folder’ that contains several files in one bundle. It is an easy way to download and share multiple documents at once.

Here’s how to open the ZIP file – step by step:

On Windows:

    1. Right-click the ZIP file you downloaded.
    2. Select ‘Extract All…’ from the menu.
    3. Choose a location on your computer where you want to save the files.
    4. Click “Extract ’, your files will now be unpacked and ready to use.

On Mac:

    1. Double-click the ZIP file.
    2. macOS will automatically unpack the contents to the same folder.
    3. The files will now be available as regular, editable Word documents.

Having trouble opening the file?

Download and install a free tool like 7-Zip (for Windows) or use your Mac’s built-in Archive Utility (usually automatic).
