Internship Opportunity at PiCC United

PiCC United is a unique, patient-focused collaboration where everyone is invited to contribute, engage, and make a meaningful impact.

Flexible, Remote, and Meaningful

Are you passionate about patient engagement, healthcare innovation, and not-for-profit work? PiCC United offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills, gain practical experience, and actively contribute to building better patient partnerships within the healthcare system.

PiCC United was born from the friendship, collaboration, and shared  enthusiasm of three organisations: Patients United, MediPaCe, and OptiPharm Medical LLC. Together, they identified the challenges of consistently integrating patient perspectives across healthcare sectors, including patient advocacy, voluntary organisations, academia, pharmaceutical companies, and regulatory bodies. To address these barriers, PiCC United was established as a practical solution and, in 2024, merged with Patients Unite, further strengthening our mission to ensure patients’ voices have a real impact.

At PiCC United, we believe that lived experiences have the power to shape the future of healthcare. Our supportive and inclusive community empowers patients to contribute to the development of therapies and health services that are truly meaningful. We are committed to amplifying patient voices through diversity and inclusion, ensuring that all perspectives are recognised and valued. Whether you are new to this journey or bring years of experience, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Our guiding principles are centred on collaboration and inclusivity, with a focus on patient health and wellbeing above individual interests. PiCC United provides a range of activities, educational resources, and engagement opportunities designed to enable patients to participate in research and advocacy with confidence. Looking ahead, we plan to establish a Strategic Advisory Committee (SAC) and an Executive Committee (EC) to guide and implement our strategic goals, ensuring that we continue to deliver impactful, patient-driven initiatives that bring about real change.

At PiCC United, we offer a unique opportunity to strengthen your skills, gain hands-on experience, and actively contribute to building better patient partnerships within healthcare.
